Beware of Humans
This small group of elephants came running to drink water where several safari vehicles were waiting near a water hole and went running back. But for us who were waiting there to have a glimpse of them splashing water these elephants would have had a peaceful time (at their own home)..

Color version is below, what works better for your taste buds (if it all it does) ?

They better be.. Although I liked the B&W version, colour version conveys motion better with streaks in the background. Retaining those streaks in B&W might add IMO. TFS sir.

I too would go with the monochrome version, Ganesh! Slow shutter and the exiting elephants convey the message very well. TFS

Ganesh, like the abstract ness of the image, there and not there..and to take sides, Monochrome of course, like the starkness and the strokes with no competing attention by colour hues..just my preference.

I like the BnW for its abstractness .
I liked the color for conveying best what you wanted to convey, a running away herd from humans. I think, those streaks in background add more to the motion along with the panned elephants and the speed is realized there.

BTW, I see a little tight crop on BnW from left side compared to color and more open space on top. I liked the composition of colored frame more than BnW's tight crop for my taste buds.

TFS.

Ganesh, love this image. Feeling of motion and effect of charcoal/pencil sketch is too good. I would take the B&W any day:) I feel, retaining some details the BG (which is evident in the color version) in the B&W image would add a lot, IMO. TFS.

Would have def gone in for the color version has the greens extended to the right upper corner of the frame...

Oh for me the power of it comes out in the black and white one more. looks more raw. more movement. love it.
very nice ... i am wondering if a little bit of trunk - curved inwards, on the right, would have felt more cyclic ... more energetic?

but just a wish to see some churn, i guess!
