Arati just love the white on white effect here. softness in the shadow areas makes it for me. It definitely opens up so many possibilities. One of those would be wishing for a tree with white bark and leaves :)
Thanks for sharing

Infinite things can be thought about his picture :) the presence and absence of elements make a perfect mix , really a treat to keep watching for a long time :)

arati, what i like here besides the white on white feel, is the slant and orientation of the tree, its mass and strong statement in contrast to the gentle sweeps of sand dunes.
u have chosen sharp contrasts in tonality, interesting choice, as against a softer feel with less tonal variations ...im sure theres a reason.

thanks Nirlep ... yes, a white bark would be interesting, with silver leaves ... will have to find a similar scene in a different temperate zone :)

Thanks Swapnil

Thank you neelu ... happy to say this was the exact effect i had in mind when i noticed the soft shadows n the dunes and made this image. i wanted a "snow or what?" effect ... such was the ambiguity of the scene itself :)

thanks again,
A

amazingly made, arati. esp. love the shadow that gives the hint of sanddune contours.

Like the minimalistic approach and the composition Arati . But somehow I am not finding muddy tones of the tree so good. Somewhat weak. May be it is just my taste. So kindly excuse. You may want to darken a bit and try

Love the high key, what makes it even better is the presence of the shadows on the otherwise featureless dunes. It adds a sense of character to them. Well presented.

Thank you nevil, rajkumar and Harsha :)
Rajkumar: no sorries please :) welcome the comments. i will try and darken the tree and see what develops!

Nevil and harsha, thanks a lot ... indeed the shadows on the dunes were key to pulling this off, i was careful when i (over) exposed the scene in field.
