look beneath the old to find the new. The desert is subtle. like that.

Subtle it is Arati! But it needs one like you to behold. One would expect desert images to be sand dunes and arid-scapes but your collection defies that stereotype. Desert is not where life has deserted, it is a place where it is to be found, like you said "look beneath the old to find the new". What I love is the soft contrast which takes away the bristles and sand peeping in from below. Nerve like spread of the branches makes this frame so alive.

Contrasting mix of green and brown brings out the ticking time very well. I guess there is a still a hope. Love the order in apparent chaos here Arati.

Thanks Nirlep and Ganesh,
yes, this was an interesting one to interpret in light. I tricked my iPhone into underexposing (yes, this is taken with a phone ;)) ... so as to not lose the old nerve-like branches to the green.

the hint of greens really add up to the title of the pic mam :) and the arid branches contrast it so well...
