Human-nature series
The creeper clings to wall just like it would've a tree. It doesn't differentiate or does it?

Art is about what is inside rather than what is outside

Mother Earth has this uncanny ability to bounce back from all calamities. Last weekend I was talking to Hrishikesh on the same topic. I was telling him about how man has destroyed this beautiful planet and now he is busy putting up slogans like 'Save Earth'. What he doesn't really understand is, he is killing himself, digging his own grave and the slogan should be 'Save Human'.
In near future, we will destroy the forests, rivers, lakes, mountains, deserts and most living things dependent on this habitat. The change caused by this destruction will eventually succeed in wiping out the human race and many other species will also be extinct, but Mother Earth is not a stranger to these changes. She has survived things much worse in the last billion years, she will survive this catastrophe too along with many other organisms. Then there would be origin of new life (plant in this picture), a start of new evolution. In the end, all that would remain of the human race would be his materialistic exploitation (the wall in this picture).
Thanks for this series.. the change is inevitable.. :)

I smile and I cry! I cry and I smile!

I smile thinking that no matter what we do, we seem to foster nature and provide it yet another opportunity / habitat to thrive.
I cry thinking that we are so caught up in our own development that we are turning a blind eye to the nature around us and forcing our civilized well being to supersede our natural well being

I smile and I cry!

Hello Nirlep.
There are several locations around my Mother's birth village, in the western ghats, ... one of them called Gouthameshwara. The place is more than 500 yrs old and has a small shiva temple quite undisturbed. Around this area are many stone relics, scriptures carved into stone, half crumbled stone structures which look more stitched into the surrounding vegetation. Cant even access some of them. One thing that i find most interesting is the silence that this place offers.
More closer to where i stay in Bangalore, my neighbouring house is empty from the past few years. i think, in another few years the building will be lifted up, dropped back and crushed by the growing vegetation.... Again, silence. So, how about we shut-op (Op as in operations) and it wont take much time for nature to gobble up what we have done and fully recover. But, you series has raised a quintessential question... how to Shut op(s)?

"A fine canvas of nature's ability to survive" is what I'd like to caption your image. The text, red & green leaf combo works well here, would be nice to see this on a large print. Thanks for sharing
