Ganesh, This is another master piece from you. To me glowing eyes is perfectly ok. I have seen many excellent images of creatures with glowing eyes. Most creatures' retina are wider and even placing the flash off the camera direction is likely to have glowing eyes inthe image, just my thoughts.

As for the "glow" I would recommend you try off camera flash to reduce eye glow. Idea is to increase the angle between the lens axis and the flash (these imaginary lines converge on the subject) Maybe have an assistant hold the mail flash away and use the in-camera flash, as a remote trigger after either using a reflector/ diffuser on the pop up flash .
