Setting Sun at Daroji
I just returned today afternoon after spending 5 days at Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary (and will be heading towards Western Ghats tomorrow for about next 10 days). I tried to focus on forms/curves/light with bears adding to some of these basic visual elements. This is one such. Lot more images to share but will be away for next 10 days..

Wish you all a prosperous and happy new year/decade !

this is an out of the world image for me.....the best image i have seen in recent days....if the bear was standing on the edge this would have been even better...but in nature we have to take what it gives...really classic sir...

Nice one, Ganesh. It was a good idea to give enough importance to the environment of the bear. TFS.

Thanks for your wishes. Wish you and everyone at CNP a happy new year. Happy clicking!

An excellent perspective! The light on the rock looks heavenly! What do you think about opening up a little on the rock on the right? I am not too sure but just for a trial...

Oh my, this is outstanding for its simplicity. Phew, this image has great visual impact due to the rock and bear in shade and the other rock lit golden. I wonder how it would have been had the rock on the left been lit completely instead of only partly. Also, this image reminds me of your famous spurfowl image from the same place. Thanks a TON for sharing this masterpiece and I look forward to the extravagant feast coming our way after your trip! All the best and season's greetings.

Simple yet evocative! I like the curves highlighted here. It somehow reminds of an hour glass with the bear at the bottom instead of the sand. Have wonderful new year and seasons greeting to your family and the entire CNP fraternity.

Cant wait to see more images from the double bonanza

Hey Ganesh, Loved the rock formation, the bear in silhouette and above all the light conditions. Just one of those images which make us feel that the year has been successful. Congrats for this one. Waiting to see more and more and best wishes for Western Ghats. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year, would try reaching you.

The rocks seem like an animated version of the bear (especially the one on the right)..the expressions, the rock bears seem to portray is comical, with respect to the position of the actual bear..

Contrasting boulders with bear at center is what makes an image for me. Touch of golden light is just fantastic.

wonderful composition with great light & silhouettes, ganesh. what's striking me most is this compressed distance that makes abstract like feel with forms 'n vivid sunset colours, otherwise we normally see such scapes with wideangle lens.

regards and a very happy new year.
