Elephants
Made this many years ago but I guess I have forgotten to post here.

I have used Ilford emulated grains using "TrueGrain" emulator.

For those interested in EXIF data the shutter was open for 1.3 seconds, panned using 600mm f4 lens on a tripod plus fluid head.

There is a rush, but the calf is also bringing tenderness to the image. A perfect pan doesn’t exist but this sure qualifies as one. Love this one a lot sir! Tfs.
Is this a gentle indication towards next months theme? :p

Thanks, Sarthak. No, I don’t know what the theme will be for next month..

everything works , the soft definition, the angular tilt, the grains, the brushed tones, The little one anchors the image well. Lovely one to put on the wall and look at for years ( a litmus test for a work )

Art is about what is inside rather than what is outside

Ganesh,

This is why I was pressing you to share old images. They may be old to you, but never gets old for us. This one is no exception, real treat to eyes.

The grains add a lot to the image.
The centre black spot ( of end of the elephant trunk) is a little overpowering ? Slight dodging would enhance the effect?
Just curious.

Wonderful image Ganesh. The feel of movement is so elegantly captured here. I tend to agree with Adithya. TFS

Adithya, the center spot is end of the trunk which probably was relatively stable compared to the rest of the trunk. Don't ask me how!

What can I say about this image, Ganesh. How precisely this has been executed on the field and how well this has been processed. And the quality of the grain to die for. Nowhere the technical superiority of this image over power the mood of the image. An image worth to study the nuances of "art of photography". Thanks for sharing.

Best regards

Utterly intriguing n surreal as well, Ganesh. Strokes on motion, subtle play of tones n grains make this for me.
Absolutely love that anchoring calf n the hint of forms that help us complete the scene n evoke related emotions.
Regards.
