Another image with similar intent, made earlier in the day. The mood/feel changes a lot depending on where we clip tones, grain structure and definition.

Ganesh, I too like the first one because of the softer tones it has. But second one has better grain quality according to me. On print the second image may look much better(?)!
A beautiful image. "The default lever pulling in tools like PS to increase/cover the entire range of tones often results in suboptimal experience." - so true. You could easy increase the black in this image but at the same time kill the feeling.
