Arrey yaar !!! Aplog aaj maar hi daloge :-), one after the other, Krish buddy, I do not think there is a better or a more graceful way to fill up empty space than this. Just a thought, we learn so much about space, vacuum, emptyness in Science, can there be emptyness in life or in art, most of the times it's actually full but we wish to fill it up our way and miss the nuances ? See how the moon lit up to sing the chords written in the skies :-), any of you love Bhimsen Joshi ? Plz try listening to his famous Beguna Guna Gaaye ( Gujri Todi )...now I would see this image with my eyes closed when I listen to his farewell to the day by singing this modified version. One of the best from you I can say.......

Beautiful........In my opinion it's incomplete without a raga.....I would suggest Raga Puriya Kalyan by Pt. Ravi Shankar.........A tribute to the sitar maestro

Very relaxing Krish ! No tensions, no pressure on interpretations, lives in reality and a representational work yet takes us towards abstract soft dreams.

Soham, visit this thread find out how to embed Youtube/Vimeo video here in CNP pages. For now I am adding your link here below -

How did you do this?
exquisite. ethereal. eternal, yet ephemeral.

I could look at this all day, all night, and permasmile would play on my face. Above *mumbai?*
how did you do this?

take a bow.
A
ps: those "how did you ..." questions are purely rhetorical, born out of wonder. :)

Hi Krish, wonderful image this is. I always thought Bombay to be full of smog and bad visibility, sorry. You have created such a gem here not just the clear rising moon but the beautiful shades of the evening sky.

Thanks all for your comments. Glad you all like it !
Love Puriyan Kalyan and Gujri Todi :-) But heck why dont I hear it in the pic ? ..Thats me :-)

My "creative brain" : The only thought as I kept my bag in the living room and looked out the balcony was, nice sky should make a nice picture. Then I looked out the balcony and spotted the moon. Quickly got out my camera, did a couple quick shots hand held, found that, no way I could hold that still. Went and grabbed my tripod and shot some. Check the shots here on my blog http://www.krishphoto.com/uncategorized/moonrise-over-mumbai.html
This shot is a crop from the third shot " Mumbai skyline 1"

Then when I was looking at the shot on the computer, this composition appealed to me. I actually also liked the first in the slide show with the hand held motion blur induced moon.

Krishnan, Exposure is on the spot. Details on shadowed moon is just briliant. One of your best !
And saw this moon same day when I was on top on Bababudangiri near Chikmagalur and I felt special about the moon that day.
