WOuld love to see a print of this Raj, very skillfully handled tonal ranges. Probably an informal meeting over a coffee is long due :)

I was about to write that it is perhaps one of the best handled processing I have seen in CNP and then noticed Ganshi's comment. Man, I loved that subtle tonal difference in the clouds, actually the depth of the cloud is very visible here. I felt the image might look better without that gray border Raj...Where was this image made ?? I always notice people naturally select wide angle lens while making mountain images, whereas I personally felt, the close perspectives of mountains open up an entirely different world as in this one. There is a subtle touch between the clouds and those rocks and snow and of course the light too. If you ask me, am more excited by seeing those relationships than just having a glimpse of the vastness of the mountains. This is the same reason am a big fan of Marc Adamus and Guy Tal, both these become a part of the mountains to express the invisible relationship of matters of the earth. Enjoyed this image a lot Raj.

Indeed it would be great to see a large print of this Raj. Great tonal variation is creating a wonderful perspective. TFS.

For someone, who loves mountains, been to himalayas, this image is calling back to the place !
the joy of watching mountain tops, flirting of light, clouds and their shadows and constantly changing situation, you have handled it all well and represented here with such beautiful processing. Would be coming back to this image many more times, just to visit the himalayas...

A treat for the eyes there!! And a case study in itself on managing tonal ranges!! One can almost touch and feel the rugged terrain...Exemplary piece of work!!

indeed, stunning control 'n portrayal of wide tonal range. like the feel of the bright light against storm clouds .. larger print must be a treat to look at! agree with nilanjan on gray border.

tfs. regards.

Raj, so much has been talked about tonal ranges on this forum, and i never really understood in depth, till i see this wonderful wonderful image..and the subtle nuances and how it can make a picture come alive, a true study if one has to learn from... just lovely.

"Magnificent". I wonder if i will ever be able to control tones like the way you have done in this image & El Capitan.
