Hi Arati,
What an image this! makes one see all the evolution from pre-historic time to the present. That unmistakable imprint of oil gathered in the hollow engraved by advancing man.. oops human. Truly metaphoric!
Thanks for sharing

+1 to all the points just stated by Nirlep. Not sure about excluding the reminder of the second foot print

i interpert this as the damage done by the footprints of man, so the irony is we mark a"like " on the image, tho it signifies what we hate is happening, how does one interpret the beautiful colors? it is damage..and yet these are rainbow colours. the dichotomy this image throws up and lends itself to so many interpretations is intriguing.

beautiful take Neelu. Tragedy touches us deep down and evokes compassion which is beautiful. As it appears to me we don't like the tragedy but the beauty of compassion it evokes. It makes us more alive to the reality. Compassion is the ground for action in future; it may or may not get actualised in each case is a different matter but it does exhort action from within. An event happening in the past gets noticed in the present for action to begin in future. A photo frame of tragedy is the point of confluence. Having said this it still doesn't resolve the dichotomy you mentioned. Food for thought...ruminating..
