Macro Scapes
While we are on the last day of the monthly theme, "magical macros" let me post one more image.

About 8 years ago I made several images of "macro-scapes" like the below image of the butterfly. These were made using wide angle lenses with a thin extension tube (typically 5mm extension tube). During last of couple years I made another kind of macro-scapes like this one. Unfortunately you can't appreciate the image in this posted size. I request you to download this very high resolution file, open it in photoshop and view it at the full/actual size, one pixel at a time!! The purpose making images like this is to wonder about nature in its very minute details. How all these happened? There are millions of life present in every pixel you see here which we take for granted in small web scale image or when we stand causally in front of a tree. My pantheistic beliefs have its roots in images like these.

There is a huge, huge difference between the two images ( Main image and the high resolution, not the wide angle macro)
Details in the high res file is amazing. I think only a print will do proper justice. Also, understanding the intent is very important. Otherwise the questions "why so much of effort?" "What's there in details?" etc remains unanswered.

saw this on a 55inch screen from the link. It feels like a drone shot with patches of forest. A large print of this can make a statement in terms of pulling the viewer between two scales of seeing

Art is about what is inside rather than what is outside

Raj, 55inch screen? Is that a TV screen or a computer display?
