Gubbagodu Bus Stand
Rain in Malenadu has a distinct character of its own. It is very difficult to articulate its feel and visually portray. Adjusting the very basic contrast and brightness is also very challenging to me in this case. Here is an attempt to recall my childhood memories, of the place (Malenadu) that I cherish most. I can't portray it the way I feel it. Yet an attempt to rewind my clock by 50 years...

Gubbagodu bus stand in rain. Don't miss the name plate ("Gubbagodu Bus Stop" written in Kannada) nailed to the tree on right!

Oh this place! I was confused why this was so dark, but now after reading the description I know why. The mood is very aptly conveyed here. The rain drops and texture adds to the character.
Thanks for sharing sir.

Ganesh when the visit to Simha farms was still fresh this image brought back the cold damp continuous rain. After a few weeks now the feel for me is more objective. For those of you for whom this is childhood memory ( including waiting for school to be declared a holiday due to rain :) ) this image must evoke a more intense memory and feel. Point is how the space between the viewer and the art is so sacred and effervescent and influenced by so many things .
Thoughts ?

Raj, I think that personal connect between the so called work of art and the (so called) artist denies the universal appeal to what is portrayed. That brings us to the boring debate on what is art!
