What a dreamy landscape. Almost surreal. Sprinkled birds , hazy grass , multiple false horizons ( that's what I see anyway ), and that milky sky above. What an amalgamation.

Thanks Ganesh for posting and sharing this with us.

On the technical side of things, can I request a short note? I couldn't figure out how this was achieved.

Thanks
Vageesha A R.

Vageesha, I made this at Gudavi, 6 years ago. Dual in camera exposures, First one fixed, second one panned with 3 seconds exposure with lens set at 32mm (24-70 lens using Nikon D800E). I think have not done a good job in panning. Since it kind of fits the theme I am posting. Gudavi is tricky place. It appears amazing when you watch the heronry from the watch tower. Somehow the images can't do justice to what we see/experience there. Print may do some justice. I went there, experimented many times. Honestly, I am not happy with my images I made at Gudavi so far. I think it offers amazing possibilities but think I have always failed in making very satisfactory images there. That said, I will continue this for years to come. The problem is not outside, it is inside :)

Thanks for the explanation Ganesh. The panning worked great. It sets a drift just enough to introduce the masking of the whites below and the result ' below the wet glass ' impact. Would love to see this on a big print someday.

Gudavi is a treat, had been there a few years ago, and hopefully will make a visit once we are out of this pandemic.

Thanks
Vageesha

Indeed!, Ganesh. Love the feel of strokes and the way things gently appear on canvas!
