Alone and Dead!
Back water is a place of several of these kinds of lonely ghosts, which were buried under water silently by man!

A lovely moody shot, I wish there was some more fg. The even sky also adds to the mood.

I love the creamyness of the water, breaking by the sharpness of the tree trunk. A bit of foreground would have been beautiful.

I agree with both of you! Even I wanted to add a bit more foreground, but there was an unpleasant rock and some roots from another dead tree, which if included would have taken the current feel out. Hence decided to exclude them and keep the fg a bit tight... :(

Fantastic image Ashvin! I like the way the tree prominently stands amidst clear water. As Atanu suggested I would leave a little more room in front of the dead tree. Sharavathi back waters is a lovely place..

I love this image as is Ashwin! though u have this ghost right in the foreground, the distant hills in the horizon captures my attention. It's unusual but true. I am just loving this composition and also the fact as to how my brain totally ignores the log which is the main point of focus! At times we don't understand the brain's perception :-). Excellent execution and mood is splendid!!

Hi Ashwin,
This is beautiful seeing once again. The form is very powerful. Though you've titled it "Alone and dead" to me the tree stump comes out as a survivor having unconquered pride inspite of adversity. I would leave some more space below the frame however.
Thanks for sharing.
