Not a dead wood
Often in our effort to see nature we tend to see big beautiful things, I was lucky to spot this Orchid on a dead tree right by the side of the road leading upto K.Gudi. This refreshing orchid on an entirely dead tree was a symbol depicting nature can make any dead wood spring to life. I liked the way the oof dead branches fill in the corners of the image. The background is far away forest.

Oh Sir, this is beautiful. I have seen many similar Orchids with pink colour flowers and this one has yellow. Bottom left corner branch is out of focus top right corner branch is pretty much in focus adding another dimension.

Love this image. How about a selective blurring of the right upper corner branch to balance the lower corner..

Lovely image VMR. I debated about role and presence of two branches in the composition. More I think about it more I am convinced that it adds to the uniqueness and also helps to some extent "frame" the flower. Lovely the kind of lonely mood portrayed here. Thanks for sharing..

Initially even I was debating the presence of the two branches in the corners. But the more I look at it the more sense it seems to make. I think it acts as a natural frame which is only adding to the composition. Apart from that the buttery bokeh and the dash of yellow emerging from the apparently dead branch is surely a nice way to portray optimism. Super image sir!

Just love the tones and the light in this image. It carries such a sublime feel! And I too vote for the inclusion of the two oblique branches which make a natural frame. Of course they are a bit distracting when one first beholds the image, but the eyes soon get used to them. Wonderful image, VMR sir.

VMR, You made my day :). Just cant take my eyes of the image, but for my eyes I would like to see a version how the image looks with the out of focus branches cropped out. The focus of the eye is shifting away from the already beautiful subject that you have here. Just my thoughts though.

VMR, This is an excellent feel to the flora. Liked tones which give soothing effect on eyes.

Hi VMR,
This is amazing! It at once amazes, pleases and enthralls....which is so characteristic of a flower. A miniscule presence holds the frame so tightly. And I love those two branches diagonally opposite who sort of bracket the phenomenon.
Great seeing. I can hear the flower sing.

This is a POWERFUL image.. to me, the top right corner branch is looking beautiful. Cloning out the bottom left would be interesting. A gem of an image
