Dragonflies - a perspective
I made this image today at TG Halli. I had couple of interesting angles to make some images of these dragonflies.
In this image these dragon flies were sitting on the twig above a pond. I chose an angle to get some sun light reflected off the water
to create a large exposure difference between dragonflies and water to create some unique feel (atleast I think so!). Like to know how your taste buds receive this. I have also started a thread on another variation of this using a different angle. The discussion thread is here!

the composition is excellent....the patch in the bg is weakening the composition i guess..slightly distracting....colour scheme is also excellent....

This is lovely. The whites have been very well used here. The yellow wings in the white background stands out well. And of course the black lines as wing tips adds to the impact. I looked at the image in the thread. That's good, but looks flat and simple. This image has a good appeal.

very interesting composition with nice placement of subjects. looks balanced too. i initially thought in similar lines to what praveen suggested regarding the patch in the BG to be weakening the composition, but on second thoughts, the frame would become too empty & plain + BG trying to dominate too much if the patch on top was'nt to be there.

This is a thought provoking image, I see the depiction of the dragonflies in a line of nature and the essence to capture the light reflected off the water. The lack of an uniform bg tends to distract from the dragonflies.

Nice geaometry in the image! The gradual intesity gradation from the bottom right corner to the top left corner really adds a great deal to the mood it creats. For me the greenish patch distracts the mood. I think you have used a fill flash here which is why there are details on the twig even with that much bright bg. How about without flash? I would have tried both and compared the two.

A unique composition! To me, it's the subtlety of that the dragon's wings that give this image the artistic and the aesthetic look. The wings look like they have been painted! :-)

The abstract feel of this image makes it more beautiful than the other one ... to me also the very bright part of the bg feels a bit too strong for my eyes ... I wish the bg was uniformly like it's top part ... but the curve and intersecting straight lines makes it very interesting ...
