Shadow
Oblique light combined with camouflaged environment made the shadow interesting for me. Kind of like the texture and "shadow spider".
Love to know your thoughts..

Stunning! Simply magnificent image and what an impact! Ganesh, am sure this image would really pop very well on the canvas!! Those oblique lines makes the composition! Though the spider is at the center, the lines counter the centered composition thus making this a beautiful image. Great seeing and execution. Again I am bowled over by the way you have handled the contrast. ^^Bows^^

Nice use of shadow here to render a harsh lighting situation into an artistic image. You have positioned yourself so well to get the shadow symmetry right. The spider is well camouflaged and the shadow sort of points to where the spider is.
Liked this image of yours a lot more than the previous hibiscus image.

I was waiting for this image sir. I just loved the way you have executed this shot. As Kaushik pointed out its the shadow that pulls the eye to the Spider and gives away its location. Not only did you find a really good hider but you also have done justice to the amazing camouflage exhibited by these wonderful creatures. A true "Star" of an image this.

The use of shadow and the lines emerging out of the spider make it a unique image. I tired to view the image, up-side down and I actually liked that way, it gives a different perspective to what we are seeing now.

This is really nice I have tried this shadow perspective a few times and sometimes the shadows resolve better than the subject. In this case the shadow and the subject are finely resolved. Great camouflage lifts this image. An article on using combination of off shoe flash in lighting up the subjects should be interesting.

Awesome image Ganesh. This is not at all easy, I have tried and failed to get such results in the past. Very inspiring image and perspective.

Here here is our man of brawny browns. The image is a stunner in the sense that it reveals the shadow as predator. The spider with all the comuflage given away by oblique light is eloquent testimony of nature's suprimacy over evolution. The shadow which makes the shot for beholder kills the beheld!!!
Great seeing indeed.

mesmerising play of spider and it's shadow, it's evoking vacillating feeling of whose holding whom?! or as nirlep says who's the prey and who's the predator?

great great one, ganeshji.

regards.
