I love making images of birds and mammals showcasing their environment and where ever possible in a different way... This is one of such attempts where I have used the darker bush in the front as a foreground. Off late I have made several images of this sort, of various birds with few successful images and many failures! :)

Views are welcome...

excellent use of fg and bg to create a different fell....i feel still longer lenses or faster lenses with shalow dof make these images more dreamy.....when every other photographer tries to creat a clean bg with the bird full in the frame this one is really refreshing....well done...keep trying..all the best...

I think this is quite successful. Quite difficult to avoid the clutter of the foreground in this frame but still you have done it very well not allowing the foreground bushes to disturb the image but at the same time keeping it in a way to be a part of the habitat. Very nice.

I like this image for different kind of style it exudes and despite the OOF fg, my eyes just stays riveted on the Pipit. Beautiful thought and creation Ashwin. Very refreshing as Praveen puts it.

Lovely one, Ashwini. Kudos for having chosen this compo. This is a style I was first introduced to through Andy Rouse's work and really love it. You have an excellent creation here. As Praveen said, a faster or longer lens would have made the FG dreamy, rendering a surreal effect to the image, but this works too. Perhaps a round of Neat Image may mimic that effect to a certain extent? Would be very nice to see this in print. TFS.
