Art of Feeding

Art of Feeding
Last couple of weeks I enjoyed seeing these young pied kingfishers being fed my mother on a perch and in air etc. While they are learning their skills mother helps them too. This is a full frame and I can see an eye of the fish at its actual size but liked the composition this way - where the so called negative space seem to add a lot to mood of the morning (for my taste buds). Thanks for your views.

the wing position and the two kingerfishers pose look surreal.. a vertical frame would probably look better..
a masterpiece indeed..

wonderful composition, ganesh. apart from the negative space, i love this puzzling compo where mother seem to get fed by the young-one! your images have amazing sharpness, always.

wow took me a couple of seconds to understand this image and I must say the image rivets the viewer's attention. Initially its trying to understand the frame and the subjects, and then its trying to discern the details of the identified subjects (viz the fish, the mother KF and the overall framing orientation). I love the color of the BG too, which adds a nice mood as you pointed out.
An image to explore and understand. Would love to see it in BIG :)

I also think this is a significant image in terms of the subject behavior as I dont think there are many images of this kind showing the feeding behavior of KFs

A fine crisp action shot with very unusual composition which still holds the eye.
