Stone and a peafowl
Made this image at Daroji some time back. (From photography perspective but for bears I like every thing else at Daroji :) )It was just after sunset. The shape of the stone and position/posture of the bird helped me get a pleasing composition. I had to back off enough to get this composition using my long tele lens. Love to know your thoughts..

lovely work as usual Ganesh. You did very well to include the entire boulder which acts as a very strong anchor. It also shows the habitat of Daroji very well. A few colors in the BG sky would have been very interesting. But thats nature, you cant have everything. Love the texture of the boulder.

This represents the Soul of Daroji, the composition is excellent and so is the boulder and its texture. I would have loved to see some strong light on the peafowl

Composition is just so perfect. The rock shape is the highlight here & u've shot it from just the right perspective. The warm light towards the front portion of the rock along with the slight shadow on the left (the bend towards the left as seen by viewer) of the rock gives a depth (or a 3-D feel) to the image. The whole rock is 'placed' on another base rock which I personally felt as a necessary element. The peafowl adds the icing to the cake - a much necessary subject again ! The side profile is so perfect too. If it had turned its head in any other manner, it would not have had the same appeal as now. Another nice thing I noticed about the peafowl silhouette is that it is not completely dark - there are details of the wings/feather & the eye.
Liked it all the way...

Ganesh, Great situation here and nicely executed. Daroji is another less explored place. There are million opportunities in Daroji for every nature photographer.

Others have told what was on my mind. All I can say is this is "Trademark" Ganesh's image. Love the way you have composed. Can't take one's eyes off.

Ganesh, it is so well balanced! The huge rock is giving the feeling that it is facing to the left and the peafowl at the top is facing to the right which is so beautifully complimenting the mood and balancing the image. The factors which all the other members have indicated are also very apt. a very nice image overall.
