Very Interesting... The focused paws are taking away a lot of attention though... Would love to see one with tighter crop ie excluding the paws... TFS

Thank u :) The effect is due to fog filter... And yes it is selective de-saturation... About goodness prevails... :D Well i believe everything thats part of nature is good. The tital was just a momentary lapse of reason... As I was particularly shooting thorns and at a point got totally oblivious. I found myself surounded by nothing else but thorny bushes... After good 5-6 scratches and the ever scorching sun above I turned to make my way out... A lil irritated as I was came across this lone leaf holding on... It immediately managed to put a smile on my face... Regards, Preyas

Thanks a lot :) I wanted to emphasise on the shapes and curves of the leaves. the deep shadows and highlights played vital role in making this photograph. About Melancholy... I dont know but there was something really unpleasant about the scene. Am I trying too hard to convey my interpretations? or have i simply failed to convey? Dont mind me saying this yet again but... its great learning here!!! :) Regards, Preyas

Thanks for the inputs Mr. Ganesh. About the image.. I have used a fog filter to get the diffused effect here. It was a deliberate attempt to merge the thorns with background. The idea here was to show the other and less harsh side of summer despite its dry and deciduous (where the photograph was made) characteristics. Summer is many times regarded as season that sears. The psychological properties of Yellow include optimism, creativity, friendliness etc. where as orange represents physical comfort, abundance, fun etc. hence these are the dominant colours. However, now i think it has failed to convey the idea. Any suggestions foe that??? I have tried your suggestions, and i must say, visually the results are much better than the existing one. But it fails to convey my idea. I will soon share the other pictures to know your inputs. Also, Its been a great experience being a part of CNP so far. Lot of different inputs, ideas, visions and suggestions here. Great learning!!! Regards, Preyas

Thanks nirlep Yes the leaf was as it is. In fact not much processing either… Just some contrast adjustment. About ‘cast away’… I agree with your thoughts about the title. However, my thought was restricted to just the mother tree and the leaf child and not nature as a whole. I wonder how the leaf or the tree or the land whence it belonged felt about the whole thing. . Maybe the journey wasn’t the leaf’s choice. Maybe it was forced to comply with greater forces of nature. And not actually intended to end up here. But perhaps you are right… Nature is away from humanly thinking, ideas and emotions. Moreover, selfless and extremely complex for my understanding… There is something more I would like to add here… [i:25gseesu]For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination We learned to talk - David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Polly Samson[/i:25gseesu] Humans can talk and so we understand humans better than we do nature. How I wish every component/element of nature (not just mankind) could talk!!! We would definitely know and understand Earth better in that case. More than the image your comment triggered thinking.  Thanks for that. There is a lot to learn from team CNP Regards, Preyas

There is a distinct woman in this... In fact i see her nose... allowed to just breathe... blurred strands and loose rope work really well with flux of the picture... Beautiful abstract this!!! No more ropes!!! :)

Hi, Thanks a lot Nirlep. The attempt was to keep it calm, mellow and delicate. Hence no use of strong warm or cool tones. And the images were supposed to give a sense of peace (also a tad chaos which i will explain below) with slight change in the moods. About using the same/similar image... I have another one in which I have used same image with different tones under the title 'Delicate Moods', which ill be sharing soon. In this image I have tried to emphasise more on 'Mood Swings' rather than just 'Delicate'. The reason for using another picture in the centre was to depict the shift/swing in emotions. A little mess/chaos/clutter was to portray a state of mind overwhelmed with sudden rush of emotions. Hence i have also used a slight warm tone to make it more intense than the rest. Well, thats what I planned to do. Hope it has conveyed what i wished to. Thanks for your valuable inputs Mr.Ganesh. :) Wish to learn a lot from CNP!!! Evermore!!!
