CNP Meet: Getting there

Postby Madhav Jois » Tue Aug 07, 2018 10:20 pm

Hi All,

As we are gearing up to CNP meet which is happening @ Simha Farms (Kodachadri) on 25th and 26th of August, some of us would be interested in exploring transport options. Here are the details on how to get to the venue:

By Bus:
Both Govt as well as Private buses run between Bangalore to Nittur (nearest town).

Bus No# 2115BNGCDP Timing: 21:15 → 06:00 Class: AIRAVAT
Bus No# 2033BNGCDP Timing: 20:33 → 05:06 Class: RAJAHAMSA EXECUTIVE

There are few Karnataka Sarige buses as well during the day. Tickets can be booked @ http://www.ksrtc.in/oprs-web/guest/home.do?h=1
While booking ticket, we need to put destination as Kollur. However, we need to get down @ Madodi, before Nittur.

There is a private bus (Durgamba travels):

By Train:
Nearest railway station for Bangalore passengers is Sagar [38kms from Simha farms].
Those coming from Pune/Mumbai, nearest railway station is Byndoor(Mookambika station, Konkan Railway, Mumbai - Mangalore route) which is 55 km from Simha farms.

By Flight:
The nearest airport is Mangalore which is 160 k.m. from Simha farms.

Car Pool:
Some of us may be planning to drive on our own. Those who are interested in car pooling can fill the below form. We will try to facilitate based on the area and travel date/time.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Dear All,

While searching on KSRTC website (http://www.ksrtc.in") you can give destination as Sampekatte. That will give you all the buses that go via Simha farms. The bus stops in front of Simha farms, so no need to worry.

If you are booking the private bus you can check website http://www.durgambabooking.com, search for Bangalore to Nittur(SMG). Redbus sometimes doesn't show this bus in their listing.

As it's a weekend please book it ASAP.
