Inkjet Printing - What is your interest?

I found this article an interesting read.

If there is enough interest I think we can request Nevil & team to create a separate forum for discussing topics related to printing. At this time there may not many people who make prints themselves. Having gone through that path for sometime I think we will miss a lot as photographers if we don't print images ourself! Cost of owning a small photo printer (which can print ~13x17") is not very prohibitive compared to cost a typical lens that we all own. I can count 5 people now who have made prints in CNP. I hope overtime this number will increase and a group may be worth to share/exchange knowledge. Now that there is some interest in print exchanges it may make further sense.

Thoughts?

Thanks Ganesh for the link. It's a great idea to have a print forum. I think this can be clubbed with the print exchange meet that Raj has proposed. Definitely it would help immensely to our understanding about photography.

Nevil et.al., let us discuss this once you folks settle down taking the full ownership. By then we will have a few more folks buying printers I guess If there is good interest we can talk to some Epson representative to share some brochures We also need to work on institutionalizing a process for print exchange. We will take this up in coming months.
