WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR (WPY) - Contest is open!

Dear Friends,

The most prestigious nature & wildlife photography annual competition is now open for the year 2021. Photographers of all ages and abilities from around the world are encouraged to participate.
Many members of CNP have received this great honour in various categories. You can see those award winning images here.

A week ago, for the first time in history, WPY award ceremony was celebrated online, you can see it below:



Considering the talent that is on display here, it would not be a surprise to find CNPians among the list of winners. If you need any help in selection, critique please reach out to some of the CNP members who have experience in selection/preparing images.

In a nutshell, what are the Wildlife Photographer of the Year judges looking for?

Originality.

Isn't that the main criteria for us to post image here in CNP galleries?

Quoting CNP's membership registration request page -

Unlike other nature photo sharing forums on the net, here we have a narrow focus on creativity and art in nature photography. Please do make sure that you are interested in this aspect of nature photography!

I think it gives people here in CNP some edge to select images to enroll. Wish you all the best if you are enrolling your entries.
