The white bougainvillea flowers bathed in the light of the sodium vapour street lamp gently swaying in the late evening breeze reminded me of the famous painting of
Danae and the Shower of Gold
by Titan. He depicted Zeus impregnating Danae in form of a shower of gold gently flowing down Mount Olympus.
