I would have been a happy consumer of this image as a metaphor . But you have denied me that lazy comfort. But why oh why Ganesh sir?
On a side note, you would be interested to know ( only if you don't already ) that Carl Sagan was a pantheist and he had famously said, " We are a way for the cosmos to know itself.” Some serious brain fodder there.
Thanks for the image and for sharing your thoughts.
Vageesha, that quote of Carl Sagan appears intriguing till we read the prefix of it. The prefix of that quote appears to be "The cosmos is also within us, We're made of star stuff." With that in place I think the quote comparing cosmos to human appears anthropic or poetic.
Back to this post, I think Spinoza's observation that "Good and bad are relative to human" has a larger "truthful" appeal than me riding on this image as a metaphor, which limits the image to just my "opinion". This I think is very short lived.
In a related note, I had shared this below video of Carl Sagan some time ago here in CNP. I don't remember the image/forum post. Here it is, the short documentary which Carl Sagan had made. Very beautiful documentary.
