I love the artistic flow patterns and relative scale. I think gently opening deeper blacks to subtly reveal the texture on the bird and to balance darker/lighter tones might add further while processing. Which bird is this? Thanks for sharing, Shailza..

Thank you for your valuable feedback Mr. Ganesh.
To be honest I knew how I wanted it to look when I was making the image, but was struggling in post processing. I shared it with feedback in mind.

Bird is Little Forktail.

I like the artistical feel in the image. One side motion blur and otherside stillness. Rich black and pattern makes an image for me. Thank you for sharing.

Refreshing view - we are looking down on not only the bird but also "the bird's world". This bird may be not a dipper, but I guess they have a rather the same behaviour and living at streaming water. Dippers are almost always photographed from an low angle with a telephoto lens.

After about 30 years of serious photography, I have not figured out how to adjust the basic brightness and contrast to my satisfaction. I think you are not alone in this journey :) Tastes change over time. Heart wants something which eyes don’t understand! All that I know is this journey is beautiful and rewarding..

"Heart wants something which eyes don’t understand!"
So beautifully expressed. I believe that's the gap every dreamer is trying to bridge.

Thank you everyone for all your generous words.

Shailza, please feel free to share your images without any hesitation. We just try to learn from others’ views and thoughts. Some of them may be ensuring, some may be interesting while a few other views may not make sense at this time in our journey. To be frank, we too are not sure of anything! After all we are photographing the so called ‘Nature’ which we don’t comprehend.

Thank you for your comforting words Mr. Ganesh. Will certainly do.
As I am taking my baby steps, I do find myself occasionally overwhelmed. However, the insights shared by group members are a constant source of learning.
Currently, I am going through an old thread of yours where questions were posed regarding the evolution of the sense of beauty.
What a fascinating perspective on how we see the world.

What an incredible image! I love everything about it, from the motion of the water to the stark presence of the bird. Welcome to CNP!
If this were mine, I would crop 15% from the top and 15% from the right.
