Lessons Under The Tree
Again from Masai Mara. It was interesting to watch the big and the small "communicating". When they moved under the tree (which for me looked a perfect anchor) I decided to take a few images. The subjects, anchor and the rest of the back drop prompted me to show this in a sepia tone. Please feel free to comment. I am here to learn. Cheers

Agree with Nilanjan, I think you could have underexposed this shot by atleast 2 stops just to get the lines, the silhouettes would have made a greater impact.

I love this composition Srini - nice simplification of the image to focus on just three elements - mother, baby and the tree. I would consider adding about 15pixels thinkness at the right. However I am not sure about sepia tone here. For some reason sepia to my mind brings in the another dimension to the image - time. (That being contraint in my mind) I am yet to figure out how to effectively use sepia in images of nature. Sepia for me looks beautiful for historical work (time) and portraits etc where we want to convey the sense of (old) time too. My guess is simple B&W would worked better. This is simply me - I am sure we have folks in the forum who just love sepia. Thanks for sharing..
