nowhere to go
Hi folks!
Been away for a long long time and this login seems like homecoming. I surely missed a Great deal of activity at CNP. Hope to catch up in days to come. Last month I got a chance to be among the birders assembled at Ramsar wetland at Hari-ke-pattan (the confluence of Satluj and Beas rivers) for the first ever Bird census. While the birders eclaimed at every new sighting I did my own thing. These boats were caught in hyacynth growth and looked desolate with water havin seeped in. Reflection of sunset colors in water came as a redeeming moment for me. I'm not sure of the boat though !

welcome home, nirlepji. where were you lost? i searched the whole world-wide-web to read you but was not able to reach you. i really missed you and now i am damn glad that you are back!

wonderful landscape. not much sure due to bad monitor, but i think bit more contrast and saturation would bring out the whole subject. if possible, i would not have boats get cut at the bottom-right area.

regards.

Welcome back Nirlep ! I think "sky filled boats" really makes the image for me so is the contrast difference between the upper half and the lower half. I think a bit for sharpness would add a lot !

Hope Nirvair is doing well with his studies. We miss him too here..

So good to see you back sir. We were all missing your images.... Coming to this image, the cut boat on the right hand side corner could have been complete is what I feel....would love to see more images from your kit.

Welcome back again.

Welcome back Nirlepji! If you had an opportunity to move slightly to your right, thereby placing the boats from right bottom corner in a diagonal composition would have bettered the composition is what I personally feel. Do show us more of your creations :)

Hi Nevil, Ganesh, Ashwin, Pramod, Shankar ......thanks for your words and tips. last six months or so were spent in part pre-occupation, part occupation! the remaining part if at all there was, was spent ruminating about the nature of aesthetics and the politics of it. Would share with you the unabridged thoughts soon. CNP has such wonderful photographers that sometimes one feels like just stepping back and looking at beautiful unique imprints from the world of nature. It's place to meditate!
Thanks for providing such hallowed space.
