Seeking the Higher Power
This ant was in this pose for sometime .. don't know why may be was trying the sense chemical signals in the air ... but it looked like as if it is seeking the blessings from the higher power :D ... it was on the trunk of a tree in our garden ... so I had to shoot it from top down so the bg here is the ground below ;)

Interesting composition Das. Liked the way it is looking up & treading on the diagonal line.
There's slight (very slight) motion blurr in the head. If the dark spots in the BG (i.e. ground in this case) was not to be there, it would have provided better subject isolation (but not much was in ur hands). I understand, its really difficult shooting ants for they move so swiftly...

Beautiful color and contrast and I like the selective dof here Das! I think instead of the darker region behind the ant if you had an opportunity to get the same color as the stone it would hav added a lot. Not sure whether grey shaded border would have helped viewers focus on the frame better - just my thoughts. Such macro images of moving subjects with low dof are challenging - you seem to have done a very good job of it.

This is very nice. The frame divided diagonally into two parts makes it very interesting. The ant really looks like it's praying. :-)
