A "Peacockish" bath
The sky was overcast and Dull. But this ducky was enjoying its bath. I visualised some effects to make use of the situation and stopped down a bit moreto get slowish shutterspeeds. The grey light was softly refelcting from the spalshes. This is just an attempt to make something out of a dall day which otherwise was an uninteresting situation !!

Lovely image Saleel - love the unique divali star sticks effect here and the prominent yellow eye. The white parts of the birds appears to be blown out - you may want to adjust the constrast there. Overall a winner - very creative indeed - not another bathing duck image..

:) very 'peacockish' indeed !
The patterns made by the splashing water is amazing.
If it is not a full frame, some space in front of the duck would make it better I feel. Nevertheless, an amazing image. TFS.

Nicely taken with appropriate streaks of water droplets. White fethers looks over burnt on my laptop.

good image...could have underexposed a bit so that the whites woudnt have blown out and the bg would have been still darker to have better impact....

The water splash makes the image, nicely timed the whites if toned down would have been wonderful. Must say it is a refreshing image for a duck.

Beautiful image Saleel. I am not sure how much of time you had while shooting this image. But in wild, I believe, if a behavior is witnessed at some point, I guess the animal/bird would do it again moments later. Considering that as the base, I would say that this image would have created a better impact if you had tried this with slightly slower shutter speed.
