First rays of dawn..
Made this image in Red rock park in Denver...
The colors of the western sunrise/sunset is something you need to experience to believe.. The lens is just enough and only when i saw the image on the LCD i realized the polarizer was an over kill in lighting conditions like this.. Would love to know your thoughts...

C & C welcome.

Hi Adithya,
I am swamped by color here. In fact there is so much of it here it looks like a cast. I feel you should've waited some more for light to break and scatter on the rocks. That would've brought gradation in tone in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing

I have never seen colors like this ever :-), where was this image made ? Amazing colors, you know I have a mixed feeling about this image. The colors are attracting me, but the rocks are obstructing my desire to see more of those colors, gradient of tones in the sky etc is what am thinking of. I was kind of trying to peep through the rocks to see the drama of the colorful sky you have here. Am really not sure if the grass below or the green tree and even the rocks on the left are contributing to enhance the most beautiful part of the image. But, hey, am not really much into scapes, my analysis could be absolutely wrong, so plz do not feel that the image is bad, may be I just need to learn more about seeing landscapes.

@Nirlep: Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts.. Yea that's exactly what i felt when i saw the image on the LCD.. too much of colors.. in fact there was so much red in the frame that it had killed the green tree almost..And the rocks that you see are red rocks. So with such vibrant sunrise and rocks themselves being red, you can expect reds all over..
@Doc:Thanks for your comments Doc!! That is the first thought i got when i saw the sunrise too Doc.. the Sunrises and sunsets are so vibrant, u just have to be there to experience it. This was made in Denver - Colorado.. If i would have gone for a wider perspective that would have included the city in the back drop, neither was i able to go close as this was the edge of the cliff. Hence i used the green tree as the anchor point and composed the image.

Adithya, Nice one. I personally experienced this lighting in around Denver area. I guess these light occurs at higher altitude. Denver is 5200+ ft above sea level. Are you now living in Denver, CO
