Cattle Egrets and a Village Lady

We were at Velavadar for 5 days during our recent trip. I have made a few hundred images of black bucks, wolfs, blue bulls, wild boars etc. But this image of cattle
egrets was the most satisfying one. Inside the park there were a few ladies cutting the tall grasses and these birds used to stand beside them waiting (they could just
touch these birds but the birds weren't liking me). Cattle egrets were patiently waiting for the exposed insects to feed on.

Here I wanted to keep the focus on birds to emphasize them waiting and wanted to reduce the lady to a completely out of focus human form just to hint her presence and to make sure
the final image does not shift towards non-nature (not a photoshop trick though it can be done that way). I felt those rich colors of her dress did not add to the mood I had for this
image - hence decided to go B&W. Not sure how many of you can connect with this one. But here it goes - one of my favorites from the trip..

Your model would have cried seeing this image buddy :-), jokes apart, this so looks like a lens baby image, I had no idea about the power of the Perspective Control :-). Outstanding one here Ganesh, monochrome is a good choice and love the tone. Just a tad more definition on the lady perhaps ? Just wondering...this looks great too. Amazing days spent, time passed just so fast.

Very interesting visualization and an amazing execution. Not easy to make a successful image of Nature elements using the PC lens. Hats off to your effort.
How about making the image warmer than the presented cooler tone? That may make it easy to connect to the dried grass. You might have already tried that. If so then what made you to go for the cooler tone?

As you guessed I did try warm tones Ashwin. May be too much of cold and winter this season :)

Easily, one of my favorites as well... Just fabulous use of imagination! But after having visited this image for so many times over the last couple of days, I am just wondering if the lady there should have been a little more prominent than what it is at present! I know that there was a lady there and the story behind it, since I had seen you make this image. But for a third person, I feel the story might only be half-conveyed, isn't it? Pardon me if I am not able to visualize the complexity of your simple imaginations! :) That is THE reason why I hesitate to key in my thoughts in here generally!

Kiran, if you think that I know all the answers then you are just wrong :) Art becomes art when there is at least some consensus otherwise it only becomes 'that person's art' ! Every view counts and helps us see the image from others perspective. It is easy to air views on such creations too since often no one is right or wrong !! So, no need to stay back - share your thoughts !
