Warm welcome to CNP Tony - good to see you posting here.
Looking at the image i personally feel bit of tweaking in the processing to bring in the contrast and show up the whites and blacks in the wings predominantly might make this image stand out more.

In nature especially in Wildlife photography i find it very trivial to approach and come up with a successful abstract image. What might look abstract might look absurd to another - but defining our own style and being able to convey the message using those 800x533 pixels is what makes a photographer succesful.

Would like to point you to a beautiful blog post written by fellow CNP'ian Ganesh about this here > http://www.naturelyrics.com/blog/creati ... t-realism/

Goodluck and looking forward to see more of your creations in CNP.
