Towards safety
This little one was a little too old for his mom to carry him on her back... He just followed her all the way, just to be safe from Abhisek... and me of course :)

I must confess that I did not see this frame thru my viewfinder.. Though I have the mother at the extreme left corner of my original image, I thought of going with this crop, leaving the rest to the viewer's imagination...

Love the innocence on baby's face. Light is great and monochrome have worked out well in your favor. Overall a very nice image

The posture of the young one looking up at its mother is very moving Kiran. The tail above adds a lot to that expression of the young one. Wish you had a bit less busy bg which we don't have control on. I would probably keep the image (more so the bark of the tree) a bit softer to leave undivided attention on the young one. These are all very subtle post processing decisions.

Unrelated to this image, I think post processing is not about achieving technical accuracy it is about achieving emotional accuracy. Sure, your 70-200 can give you razor sharp images, but you may need to soften it at times. Just kidding :)

PS : I am taking liberty to write these since I personally know you well :)

:) No doubt GaneshaNNa.. you said it.. "I think post processing is not about achieving technical accuracy it is about achieving emotional accuracy" absolutely spot on...

I agree with that bark being a little too sharp in this frame... one of those cases where a 70-200 is a little too sharp, isn't it :) Thanks a lot for your words of wisdom!
