I have come back to this image again and again. Loved the low contrast processing, the various shades, the gradient and the vastness. Are there two more elephant there in the background behind the tree moving in two opposite directions ? This does not look like Corbett.....this so much looks like AFRICA. Lovely image in my books.

Its land that we are messing up with.. reminds me of sad story of recent killings of these majestic gentlemans at Amboseli. Like the moody softness here - Well portrayed elephant's world Prashanth..

Thanks for those haunting images of elephants(of course Ganesh's images as well), those have made big impact on the way I was looking at these beauties. I would say you must visit Africa, also I want to see African grassland through Ganesh's POV.

Killing of these giants is really sad. Its legal to kill wild animals in some part of Africa, for which Govt gets few hundred dollars to few thousand dollars. There are lot of industrialization/urbanization happening because of which animals' world is shrinking. Also heard some views like when all other countries are enjoying all the facilities why only these countries should be working for conservation by blocking development. I didn't have an answer for this.
