Roadblock.
Today, we are all posting images, pursuing our passion and love for nature through the means of photography, but ever so often in the forest, we betray our love. We must realize that we do not need to throw a rock at an animal to disturb it. Our very presence does that. We board safaris, which creates sounds that are louder than most animals' in the wild, and when we see that rare exotic animal, we wait for it to feel disturbed enough to turn its head towards us, which is followed by a frenzy of shutter clicks. We will shoot from a distance, not make a lot of sound and console ourselves by saying we're not disturbing them. But we are. If a tiger or a deer or an elephant comes and stands in your home, keeping a distance and not physically disturbing you, will you feel relaxed?

I am guilty of all of the above just as much as everyone out there, but I just feel that sometimes, we need to stop and ask ourselves what is more important to us : nature or a good photograph?

P.S. Cloned out a few dust spots.

It is a complex issue Falak. Unfortunately, we will quickly get into "Eco-tourism : boon or bane?" debate. Only those parks which allow Eco-tourism have some wildlife left.
People use gun to shoot wildlife where cameras/eco-tourism is not allowed. Yes, for wildlife, it is a pain of varying degrees..

Back to the image, I like the scale, crop, the hint of people and conflict portrayed here. Thanks for sharing !
