Vidyun, I think you aptly cropped and composed considering its context. Sometimes description of an image helps a lot.
It is a complex topic to comment on as an image if we have to take a position on whether such a practice is right or wrong (if that was your intent in making this image).
Whether it is acceptable post this image - over a decade of photo sharing here, we also seem to have broadened our definition of what constitutes 'nature photography'. If we humans are part of 'nature' then these chickens are also part of nature.
