I would have tried with a complete black and white with high contrast - resulting in just dark outline of the bird, stone and the ground (which also looks like a bigger stone) and the bright white sky.

good shot ..agree with ashwini kumar bhat..a silhouette feel would be great...my observation is that the small white portion in left bottom side may be cropped out for better impact

Agree that B&W can be a good try, but would not go for high contrast loosing spherical dimension of the huge rock, which is Krishna's butterball from Mamallapuram. I chose to include that slit on left, to give a hint of it's curvature, for size.

I guess I agree with Shabeer, the white part of the left side is probably better to crop away. - If there had been more to be seen of the left side, it may have added something in describing the stone as a big ball. But now it is a to small portion of the picture.

I like to see the texture of the stone - the contrast bird versus the hard stone feels more interesting than the contrast black versus white.
