An evening
Perhaps a never-ending evening?

These trees once 'roamed freely' were cursed for their unknown sin and got buried underwater when they were not dead for eternity.
Once a year for a small period of time they are allowed to see the burning sun and the shining stars and the cold moon.
What would they be thinking then?
Their fate of not allowing them to die naturally?
Their fate of not being able to die fully?
Or perhaps with a deep sigh about the evenings that never end and the curse of being stuck in the middle of the light and the darkness?

Note: It may look too dark on uncalibrated monitors and on mobile screens.
Thanks, Prashanth for accompanying me. Without you, I wouldn't be able to stay there so late.

As always waiting for your views and comments.

On the other hand,

Whenever, anything in nature seems to us ridiculous, absurd or evil, it is because we have but a partial knowledge of things, and are in the main ignorant of the order and coherence of nature as a whole, and because we want everything to be arranged according to the dictates of our own reason; although in fact, what our reason pronounces bad is not bad as regards the orders and laws of universal nature, but only as regards the laws of our own nature taken separately. An image looks beautiful yet evoke sadness in the viewers mind. Very well made image, Adithya. Thanks for taking me there, we did a good thing by staying there after the sunset. The light and the atmosphere was absolutely magical.

Best regards

I like this image a lot, and much more than the next version. The other one is rather noisy, but this is not the important thing. As I see it: The motif is so strong in itself, that it is not necessary to make an extra effect (as turning the image upside down). Just make it straight adn with a logic composition, as this image, and the motif talks itself!

(This is an image which needs a good calibrated screen. I can imagine that some will see this image as to dark in a too contrasty screen, as for example a tablet or a smartphone.)

Excuse! Good to think of is that in photography there is no right or wrong as we all interpret and like images differently. But of course, that was my honest feedback. I wish, my own images will get a frank opinion too :-)

@Anders, it's absolutely fine. And I appreciate the fact that you took time to analyse the images and express your views. These kind of feedbacks are hard to get and our forum stands unique in this aspect.

Best regards
