Alertness of Axis axis
This is another image that I made in Rathambhore tiger reserve last year. This was at the padam talab on our last safari. We witnessed a huge congregation of spotted deers cornered in one place, all of them looking in one direction - indicating the presence of predator and danger. Golden rays of our nearest star had transformed this zone into a magical area. We waited for long for the drama to unveil but the gentleman/madam who ever it was wasn't ready for the next move. During our wait, I saw these tall grass blades right in front of us and I couldn't ignore them but for making some images of them in focus with the deers totally out of focus.

What I like the most in the frame are the spots on the right of the frame that has rendered beautifully. I suppose I am conveying some sense of "fear factor" in the frame.

Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance for looking.

Good seeing here pramod. The alertness is very well depicted by the uni-directional ears of the chitals and the screen formed by the golden grass adds a sense of drama to the image.
Nice one here.

Interesting perspective here Pramod - - pattern of blurred head turns and raised ears behind sharpely defined blades of grass makes it interesting. Thanks for sharing..

The curtain of fear! I loved the grass here. I guess thats the main thing hiding the predator from the pray and thus generating the concept of fear. It also in some ways, shows me how the predator would have looked at its prey, hiding in the grass and walking with stealth before its cover being blown. Resulting in the deer becoming alert. Nice visualization here

Very nicely visualised and executed image Pramod....liked the head turned alert pose of the deers and the way they are rendered OOFed. I would have probably cropped a few pixels from the left as they are not contributing much to the frame and the bottom left corner looks very busy to my eyes with bright grass patch... Just my thought... full marks for seeing this opportunity...

Pramod : I guess a reverse (ears in focus and the grass oof) would be interesting to me, which insetad of "fear factor" would mean "alert" ? I guess you have such an image.
