How about a square crop with the grasshopper exactly in the center of the frame?

Here is compo suggested by Adithya. Though i have tendency of placing subject in center.. in this case i prefer non-center composition.. Looking forward to know what others feel.

Thanks Prashanth! To be frank, this was the first crop i was thinking of.. glad that you also thought in similar lines! But as i mentioned in one of the comments, i wanted to retain diagonal lines.. and hence decided against any cropping... For me it is difficult to choose between square or this crop.. i will go with the original only
:)

What made the original image more interesting is the sea of green around it (subject-bg ratio). Different crops work too (for me) but then I like the original one for a different reason (as mentioned).

oh my!...what a brilliant capture and POV. well done!
I agree with Prashanth Sampagar and the 4:3 crop. I too have a tendency to place the subject smak dab in the middle of the frame, and have had to work hard to curb that habit...while in some instances it may suit the shot, more often than not this off crop works well to really, actively, draw your eye to the subject.
cheers!
