The upper portion looks as if someone has driven a vehicle randomly and made those patterns!
Must be breathtaking to be in front of mighty Himalayas.

The upper and below part is basically a riverbed and that is how big the river is during its peak in summer mostly.
By winter, it gets all dried up except small streams that still manage to flow through (can see that in bottom portion). Rest of the riverbed is all covered with the winter snow, getting melted and forming those patters.
The part of the mountain that meets the river is constantly eroded during her summer swell forming those sand structures and erosion marks. Beautiful sight, indeed !
