Image Description:: Saw this young Teak sapling trying to stake its claim under the sun in the Bandipur wilderness last week. It is a gargantuan battle played out so gently by these giants, that we hardly ever notice its viciousness. Its won by tenacity and persistence along with a little bit of luck.

I tried to highlight the "Fight for Light" concept here by lying flat on the ground and looking almost 90 deg up into the sky and composing the shot to have both the elder Teak tree and its tiny challenger in the frame competing with each other and trying to reach out to the sun. May the best tree win!
