Curves and an Eagle!
This was almost in the mid afternoon when we sighted this Grey Headed Fish Eagle on a dry dead branch in Kaziranga. The Curves of the almost dead tree was looking very interesting in the frame. Hence framed the image this way in this full frame image.

One of the most useful features for me in the recent models the Nikon DSLRs is the ample number of focusing points (51 in my case). I use almost each and every of them, individually!

Very nice composition, Ashwini. The branches lead the viewer's eyes through the photograph. B&W was a great choice too. Nicely done. Was there a possibility to bring in some more contrast in the BG? TFS.

Well seen image Ashwin. Nice use of branches here. Increasing the overall contrast a bit would further emphasize the patterns. Thanks for sharing..

Nice composition Ashwin. Contrary to others taste:-), how about lowering the contrast a bit more to see the effect. Is it colour or graytone?

Excellent silhouette here...Clouds in the BG adds to the image ....

Thanks friends!
I have tried both the versions (more contrast and less contrast) and felt this suits my taste buds. With more contrast I am loosing those tufts on the leg of the eagle. With less contrast I was loosing the feel of the clouds in the sky. :( So it was slightly a compromise but this level suited my taste.
Thanks for your views. It helps.

Nice image there Ashwini! I loved the B&W conversion in this image a lot. Branches adds a lot to the frame here. Super composition!
