I really liked the way you have captured this animal, Arati. Low key lighting is working well here. I had tried really hard to capture a good image on my last trip to Valparai. But they were so busy eating:) They hardly looked up. Coming back to the image, I feel you can open up the body a bit get some more definition and separation from BG. Same applies to the top portion of the left horn. TFS.

Hahaha ramesh - and i keep thinking that i have "revealed too much!" i like the hint of the fur and the dot lit up at the endge of the left horn - to give an idea of where the curve ends up... in my mind, opening up any more would be like saying too much... it is where i am at this moment in my "seeing" -- as Ganesh says here, let's see how i feel a few years from now.

Arati, I like the golden glows on its contours and in the eye in particular. I am not sure about the crop though If I prefer to crop it this way then I would have liked the upper portion of its body merging with the bg like you have it below in the frame.

i have my preference and my reservation on the current image as i had mentioned in response to Ramesh's comment but would like to know what bothered you in the current crop...
