THE CLOUD MESSENGER..
im reminded of the famous sanskrit poem " Meghadoota" by Kalidasa...

"begin your journey Oh Meghdoota, by sprinkling rain on this parched earth,
the fragrance of wet earth will spread happiness all around"

and i found it symbolic that a Dove , was racing these advancing monsoon clouds..carrying a Message from the Monsoons.. :) :)

I like the slow shutter effect. You have named the image aptly, the dove and the clouds have worked well. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent image Neelu ! You have portrayed the "Meghadhootha" very well here. Blurred wings amidst beautifully balanced black and white clouds makes it very moody. I would have probably considered a bit off centered composition.

Neelu, I simply love these kind of images, though they are so minimal but images like these can only lead us to fall in love with nature more and more. I just finished commented on Manjunath's image, I really felt his image was made close to heaven :-). Coming back to your image, I would have probably wanted you to wait a few more seconds till the bird reached a point close to the edge of the frame ( just my personal choice though ) but it is taking away nothing from this lovely lovely image. It's absolute poetry, absolute bliss. The sky looks as if I can keep on staring at it, with or without any birds in it. A very beautiful piece of art in my books.

Vikram... agree its a simple image but with a meaning added to it...it takes on a different dimension in my veiw

Ganesh, thank you , yes could have been off centred composition....did consider it while processing it,,, and then "why not centre" part of me took over...:), and i let it.:) experimenting i guess!!!!

Nilanjan.....thank you., means a lot.. i spent some time going through Kalidasas Meghdoot , with my image in context, absolute joy and for me Rain clouds are poetry now..
yes agree with you and Ganesh..bout placement of bird..off centre. that would have been a different perspective.
