Image Description:: Locals pray at a cave formed by Volcanic lava in Bali Indonesia. Fire from the sky is a living memory for them. The guide said Covid lockdown was nothing. In 1963 when mount Agung erupted it burnt all their homes , food stock and fields. They fled their home and lived on dug up roots for days before help arrived. Seventy thousand years ago the massive Toba explosion from the same region wiped out most life on earth. Blocked sunlight for 1000 years. Humans were almost wiped out. Only 3000 to 10,000 are said to have survived. What option but to just bow and pray to the forces.
